Arkanova Energy relocates Corporate Headquarters to Austin, TX Donates $32,000 to charity through partnership with Give Realty
AUSTIN, TX (June 16, 2011) – Arkanova Energy (AKVA.OB) has relocated their corporate headquarters from The Woodlands, Texas to Austin, Texas and will invest over $32,000 into the nonprofit community in the process.
To prepare for its move to Austin, Arkanova Energy partnered with Laurie Loew, broker and owner of Give Realty, a brokerage firm that fosters philanthropy through real estate sales. Loew assisted in the lease of 2,500 square feet of corporate space for the company from Oxford Commercial Properties as well as the purchase of residential homes for Arkanova employees.
Through Give Realty’s one-of-a-kind business model that includes donating 25% of their commission to client-designated charities, Arkanova Energy’s relocation has greatly contributed to several nonprofits in Austin and Del Rio, Texas.
The beneficiaries of Arkanova Energy’s move to Austin include the Manto Coahuila Children’s Home, a shelter for orphaned and abandoned children directly across the border from Del Rio in Acuña, Mexico, and SafePlace, an Austin resource for those affected by sexual and domestic violence. An additional $7,600 was raised through the partnership between Arkanova Energy and Give Realty and will be distributed to the nonprofit community and will be distributed by the end of July.

Austin Social Entrepreneur Reaches Philanthropic Milestone Give Realty Donates $100,000 to Local and Global Charities
AUSTIN, TX / May 27, 2011 – Give Realty, Austin’s leading real estate social enterprise, has made a donation to its 40th non-profit beneficiary, marking the milestone of over $112,000 raised in under three years to invest in the local community while extending its reach as far as China. Austin-based non-profit organizations including Emancipet, REDArena, The Ann Richards School and Meals on Wheels are the most recent beneficiaries.
Give Realty’s mission is to create philanthropy and community engagement via the home buying and selling process. By encouraging clients to support a cause they are passionate about, it is Give Realty’s intent that the client will continue to be engaged in the community long after the transaction is complete.
